Out of a deep passion for offroad motorcycling, we supply only top-quality parts, upgrades, and accessories from some of the most esteemed brands in the US.
Imagine your computer mouse pointer was locked at one speed. Set too fast you overshoot click buttons. Too slow and the mouse rolls off your desk. Seems crazy, right?
At G2 Ergonomics, we thought it was even more crazy that the stock throttle tube pulley (we call it a “cam”) was the same size/rate-of-turn for almost all motorcycle models. Whether you rode a DR400, YZ450F, KTM990 or even an R1 – all had the same size cam!
Now consider riders of all skill levels from beginner through professional! How could one cam size possibly be ideal for all of these riders on all of these models (not to mention terrain variables like sand, rocks, mud, etc.)?
Quite simply – it can’t!
This motivated us to create the original G2 Throttle Cam System (TCS). The TCS offers cam ratio options to choose the best possible ratio to match YOUR riding ability + YOUR bike’s power characteristics + YOUR riding conditions.
We stock well over 100 different cams to provide the perfect options for your particular model. Other brands use the same handful of cams whether you ride a YZ250F or an R1, then require the use of their inferior imported throttle housing and cables.
At G2, most throttles are designed to fit inside your high-quality stock throttle housing and to your high-quality stock cables!
When we started making flywheel weights in 1987, very few riders understood the benefits of adding flywheel weights. Since then the popularity of adding flywheel weights has increased dramatically. More and more riders have discovered that they can go faster for longer with the smooth power delivery, better traction, and reduced stalling that Steahly Flywheel Weights delivers.
Adding flywheel weight increases the rotating mass and the inertia of the motor. The result is an engine that is a little slower to rev, has more controllable power delivery and less hard-hitting power. Best used in low to mid-range speeds, the addition of a flywheel weight means your ride is less likely to stall at slow speeds or with the rear brake.
You experience improved traction on slippery terrain or hard-pack. The result is a torquier and broader powerband, and the top-end power on many bikes is improved with less tendency to lose RPMs when climbing or hitting obstacles. Because your control of the bike is improved, you conserve strength and energy that you can use to ride longer and harder.
Steahly Flywheel Weights for most 2-strokes screw over top of the stock ignition flywheel using our exclusive patented mounting system. Installation is a breeze without having to remove the stock rotor. Installation on four strokes requires either replacing the stock rotor with one of our heavier complete rotors or adding a weight ring using our patent-pending design, these are no problem for the average mechanic.
Steahly Flywheel Weights are machined from solid steel billet on computer-operated lathes for the ultimate in balance, trueness and strength. Our weights are designed specifically to fit each model of motorcycle ensuring a more precise fit and best possible performance.
Often you can select from multiple weight sizes to suit riding styles and conditions. An aggressive rider will perform better by adding small-to-medium flywheel weight. For a slower more casual rider or to manoeuvre riding slower technical terrain, a heavier weight improves results.
Let’s face it, bikes from the factory are not always tuned like they should be. Not all engineers are created equal. It takes years to become a specialist.
James Dean "JD" is the guy. He is the expert. He is the Engineer.
